New US comedy is set in 1970s Los Angeles in the world of erotic magazine publishing.

Shades of Paper Giants here….

US comedy series Minx will premiere on Stan same day as the U.S. later this month.

Starring Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Jake Johnson (New Girl) and produced by actor and filmmaker Paul Feig, the 10-episode comedy series is set in 1970s Los Angeles in the world of erotic magazine publishing.

Minx centres around Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher (Jake Johnson) to create the first erotic magazine for women. In order to get her career on track, they must navigate their way through the LA porn scene, facing challenges and conflicts from opposing parties.

Also joining the cast of Minx are Idara Victor (Rizzoli & Isles), Jessica Lowe (Desperados), Lennon Parham (Playing House), Michael Angarano (This Is Us) and Oscar Montoya (Final Space).

Creator and Showrunner Ellen Rapoport executive produces the series alongside Paul Feig (Stan Exclusives Love Life and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and Dan Magnante (Stan Exclusive Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) for Feigco Entertainment, Ben Karlin and Rachel Lee Goldenberg, who also directed the pilot. Jake Johnson serves as a co-executive producer. Lionsgate Television is the studio.

Thursday March 17 on Stan.
