Actor Robson Green stars in a new outdoor series Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes on SBS.

Green shares his personal approach to making the most of weekends by getting into the outdoors. Set against stunning landscapes, the actor journeys around his beloved North-East in search of the people and places to help us relax, recharge and re-set. Joined by a host of celebrity guests, family and friends Robson road-tests a range of outdoor activities good for the mind, body, and soul.

Episode One: Seahouses – Les Ferdinand
Former Newcastle United footballer Les Ferdinand shares his insights into switching off, as he and Robson journey along the Northumberland Coast. For Robson, it’s an emotional trip in more ways than one.

Episode Two: Teeside – Mark Benton
Teesside actor Mark Benton joins forces with Robson Green on a quest to sample outdoor activities which promise to be good for the mind and body. The humour filled road trip sees the pair take the world-famous cliff lift in the Victorian seaside resort of Saltburn-by-the-sea.
