Returning: Minx

The US period comedy which very nearly didn't have a second season returns soon.

US period comedy series Minx -which very nearly didn’t have a second season- will return to Stan in July.

In season two, Doug (Jake Johnson) and Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond) grapple with Minx’s explosive success, which brings more money, fame and temptation than either of them know how to handle.

The cast also includes Idara Victor as Tina, Jessica Lowe as Bambi, Lennon Parham as Shelly, Oscar Montoya as Richie and Elizabeth Perkins as Contance.

Starring Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Jake Johnson (New Girl) and produced by actor and filmmaker Paul Feig (Bridesmaids), the series is set in 1970s Los Angeles and offers a bold and empowering perspective on the world of erotic magazine publishing.

Minx centres around Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), an earnest young feminist who joins forces with a low-rent publisher Doug (Jake Johnson) to create the first erotic magazine for women. In order to get her career on track, they must navigate their way through the LA porn scene, facing challenges and conflicts from opposing parties.

Creator and Showrunner Ellen Rapoport executive produces the series alongside Paul Feig (Stan Exclusives Love Life and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and Dan Magnante (Stan Exclusive Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) for Feigco Entertainment, Ben Karlin and Rachel Lee Goldenberg, who also directed the pilot. Jake Johnson serves as a co-executive producer. Minx is produced by Lionsgate Television.
