Gallery: Seven News Sydney broadcasts from new Eveleigh studio

Here's how Seven's new set was assembled and broadcast in the first bulletin at its new home.

Seven News Sydney broadcast from its brand new studios at Eveleigh last night.

The purpose-built across two floors of Seven’s head office is five-times larger than Martin Place, allows for permanent sets for all programs, with two complete control rooms and more than 40sq m of LED screens, while all newsroom operations will now be located on a second entire floor.

This video shows how the large set was assembled.

Network Director of News and Public Affairs, Craig McPherson said, “This is Stage One of a two-stage process with Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise and The Morning Show still broadcasting from Martin Place. They will join their 7NEWS and Seven Network colleagues in Eveleigh at the end of July when the new beginning will be truly underway.”

  1. Lots of hiccups with the weather screens last night. They were late and rushed through to catch up but the worst problem was the angle making the coast on the right hand side disappear away like Star Wars opening credits only sideways.
